A single-Judge bench of Delhi High Court pulled up Pt. Birju Maharaj’s advocate for delaying the matter after receiving interim protection by the court.
The bench on Wednesday stayed the notice issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs till the next hearing in which several eminent personalities were asked to vacate the government accommodation.
The Centre today assured the Supreme Court that no jhuggi will be removed right now while the Railways is in consultation with the Delhi government and while the Ministry of Urban Development comes up with a solution.
