The Supreme Court has observed that the state should take a holistic approach, while considering the proposal for premature release of a murder convict.
The High Court further noted that, “Regard being had to the evidence that the appellant Ravindra son of Pratap Singh had also fired a shot, which injured the deceased in the mouth and in the internal part of it, which was also the cause of death, we dismiss the prayer for bail.”
The Bombay High Court has granted emergency parole of 45 days to Asha Tayade, who was convicted of murder and sentenced to life, serving her term at Yerwada Prison, Pune.
