Supreme Court on Wednesday rejected the plea seeking action against Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and law minister for staging protest outside the CBI office in Kolkata.
Justice Indira Banerjee recuses herself from hearing appeal challenging Madras High Court order which had rejected his plea seeking revocation of suspension order and for enhanced allowance during the suspension period.
On the earlier hearing in the matter, Senior Advocate Rakesh Dwivedi, appearing on behalf of the petitioner, submitted the grievance that the affidavit is of utmost importance, because whatever the CBI has alleged, has to be rebutted by the accused persons.
The bench while posting the matter for further hearing on June 22 said, “Matter will be taken up on Tuesday. In the meantime, we hope the HC will not hear the matter on Monday or Tuesday."
