The bail petition of former Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) student Umar Khalid was on Monday adjourned to March 21 in a case related to the incidents that allegedly led to riots in the North-Eastern regions of the national capital in February, 2020, leading to death of 53 people and injuries to more than 700.
Supreme Court two-judge bench has issued notice in a plea filed by a student of final year BA (History)(Hons) who was removed from the “Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Urdu, Arabi-Farsi University,” for allegedly attempting to organise protests against Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019 (CAA).
