A plea has been filed before the Andhra Pradesh High Court, protesting the Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh’s decision to provide money from a government grant as ‘loans’ to needy advocates.
The Bar Council of Delhi (BCD) today has informed the Delhi High Court that the larger issue of giving financial assistance to advocates is pending before the Supreme Court, in a plea seeking directions to provide financial aid for needy advocates in the form of ex-gratia of Rs 25,000.
