The Supreme Court on Thursday has expressed its concerns over the education of children orphaned due to the coronavirus and asked States and Union Territories to implement welfare measures for the orphaned children at the earliest.
The Supreme Court will today continue hearing in the matter related to the children, who either lost one or both parents, or those abandoned due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The petitioner has submitted that the respondents have violated the Article 21 of the Constitution of India, by ignoring and compromising the safety and security of General Public.
