The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended names of five additional judges of the Calcutta High Court, who should be made permanent judges of that court.
The Punjab & Haryana High Court has a sanctioned strength of 85 Judges (64 Permanent Judges and 21 Additional Judges) which is the common High Court of the Indian state of Punjab and Haryana and the Union Territory of Chandigarh based in Chandigarh, India.
This will come into effect from the date of assuming office. The notification has been issued by Joint Secretary, Government of India, Rajinder Kashyap.
New Delhi (ILNS): The Ministry of Law and Justice has appointed 28 Additional Judges of the Allahabad High Court as permanent Judges of that High Court.
