The Madhya Pradesh High Court has imposed a cost of Rs 50,000 on a petitioner for wasting the precious time of the Court by not inform it regarding the parallel proceedings going on in the Supreme Court.
A petitioner was feeling uncomfortable speaking in English while arguing. Then, Chief Justice N. V. Ramana started talking to the woman in her mother tongue, which also happened to be the mother tongue of the CJI. The woman became comfortable and put her argument in front of the Court with ease.
“Accordingly, the Anticipatory Bail Application is dismissed without expressing any opinion on merits of the case with liberty to the applicants to approach the concerned Court of Sessions,” the Court ordered.
