Uttarakhand High Court while hearing a PIL raising the issue of man-animal conflict in the State directed the Principal Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, State of Uttarakhand to constitute a committee headed by the Principal Conservator of Forest to look into the matter.
The Calcutta High Court while observing that PIL remedy has been misused imposed a cost of Rs.50,000/- on the Petitioner and dismissed the PIL alleging that the private respondents are engaged in the construction business and they are not paying the GST amount and thereby evading tax.
