Asaram Bapu had moved the Supreme Court for bail saying he wanted to undergo Ayurvedic treatment in Uttarakhand. Rajasthan government affidavit says this is his third attempt to get his sentence reduced. The father of the rape victim has also expressed fear that he and his daughter will be killed.
The affidavit highlighted that the MM Hospital clinical summary does not show any specific health problem needing immediate attention and such surgery or angiography cannot be done at an Ayurveda hospital.
The directions were issued by the High Court on May 17, 2021, in a matter pertains to an anticipatory bail application filed by accused Bhanwar Singh charged for sexual harassment and trespassing.
The notification states that, in view of the order of state government and considering the persisting situation, the Rajasthan High Court at Jodhpur and Jaipur bench will continue to hear in virtual mode until May 17.
