The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed a petition filed by Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, challenging his arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) over his alleged involvement in irregularities related to the now-scrapped Delhi Excise Policy
Senior Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, representing Vedanta, submitted on Wednesday that the plant provides direct employment to 4,000 people and fulfils 36% of the country's copper needs.
The Centre today assured the Supreme Court that no jhuggi will be removed right now while the Railways is in consultation with the Delhi government and while the Ministry of Urban Development comes up with a solution.
