The Allahabad High Court has stayed coercive action against a 70-year-old resident of Varanasi, who was accused of rape, after observing that the Septuagenarian was not in position to move without support due to Arthritis
The bench further Said that the impugned judgment of the DelhiHC shall not be rely as a precedent by any of the parties before any court. “It is clarified that release of the respondents at this stage not interfered with,” it added.
CBI submitted: “Secrecy is a pre-requisite of investigation into any offence. Confidentiality and insulation of the investigating agency and its investigation from leaks and disclosures at every stage has to be ensured.”
