The affidavit highlights the continuing food insecurity of the migrants since there has been no extension of the Food Security Scheme for migrant labourers and provision of free cooked food has been discontinued.
The Delhi High Court on Tuesday has directed the GNCTD to ensure that the two Hunger Relief Centres set up in Azadpur Mandi are provided enough cooked food so that the labourers stranded there can be provided packed lunch and dinner on a daily basis.
