Mamata Banerjee's petition challenging Subhendu Adhikari's Nandigram victory has been assigned to a judge in the Calcutta High Court who was close to the BJP before he became a judge, say Trinamool Congress sources. West Bengal CM's lawyer has written to the Acting Chief Justice Rajesh Bindal on this.
The Calcutta High Court on Friday decided that the petition filed by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, challenging the Nandigram Assembly poll result, will be heard on June 24.
