A bench of Justice Bhushan R Gavai and Justice Sandeep Mehta termed the petition as frivolous, mentioning that such petitions did not only waste the precious time of the court but also the entire Supreme Court registry.
A bench comprising Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Dipankar Datta refused to entertain the plea but granted liberty to the petitioner, advocate Yogamaya MG to file an intervention petition in a pending Public Interest Litigation (PIL) lodged by Congress leader Jaya Thakur.
Earlier on December 21, 2023, the tech company had sought an interim stay on all recovery proceedings initiated against it and offered to pay the base amount of Rs 1,500 crore in cash.
