A Delhi Court yesterday disposed of a plea filed by Naveen Kumar Jindal, BJP Spokesperson against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for allegedly disclosing the identity of a 9-year-old minor rape victim who was allegedly gang-raped and murdered in Delhi Cantonment area.
The Delhi High Court on Tuesday refused to issue notice to former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on a petition seeking registration of FIR and appropriate legal action against him for disclosing sensitive information about the nine-year-old rape victim of Delhi Cantonment and publishing pictures of her parents on his Twitter handle.
Senior Advocate Sajan Poovayya appearing on behalf of Twitter India informed that Twitter has made permanent appointments to the post of Chief Compliance Officer, Resident Grievance Officer and Nodal Contact Person as mandated by the IT Rules 2021.
Twitter India submitted through its senior counsel that it intends to fully comply with the IT Rules 2021 and is taking expeditious steps to appoint officers on a permanent basis.
