Video: Supreme Court on recovery of currency notes, Delhi HC on conviction of life imprisonment

While hearing on public interest litigation filed for giving priority to vaccination of advocates and judges, the Delhi High Court directs government to consider giving priority.

The Supreme Court has said that the recovery of currency notes is not sufficient to constitute an offense under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act. On conviction of life imprisonment, the Delhi High Court said that the Central Government’s consent is necessary for the release of a prisoner under Section 435 of the CrPC. Saket court dismisses the application for filing FIR against alleged police brutality of Jamia University, says cases fall under the purview of Section 197 of CrPC. While hearing on public interest litigation filed for giving priority to vaccination of advocates and judges, the Delhi High Court directs government to consider giving priority.
