Rhea Chakraborty asks Bombay High Court to dismiss petition of Sushant’s sisters’ seeking quashing of an FIR

New Delhi (ILNS): Bollywood actor Rhea Chakraborty has requested the Bombay High Court to dismiss a petition by Sushant Singh Rajput’s sisters Priyanka and Mitu Singh in which the sisters had sought the quashing of an FIR registered against them.

The Mumbai Police has filed the FIR, alleging fraud and for buying fake prescription for their late brother.

Bandra Police had registered an FIR against them on September 7, based on a complaint filed by late Bollywood actor Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty.

Priyanka Singh and Mitu Singh have filed a petition against this FIR in the Bombay High Court seeking quashing of the FIR registered against them.

Rhea has requested in her reply in an affidavit that the high court should dismiss Priyanka and Mitu’s petition.

“Sushant Rajput died merely five days after he obtained the said prescription, wherein he was unlawfully prescribed psychotropic substances at the behest of his sister Priyanka and Dr Tarun Kumar,” Rhea Chakraborty said in her affidavit.

She further said that the manner in which the medicines were prescribed was in violation of the Indian Medical Council regulations and the Telemedicine Practice guidelines.

In light of those facts Rhea urged the high court that FIR against the Sushant ‘s sisters should not be quashed and court should dismiss the petition against the FIR with costs.

On June 14 Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in a house in Bandra, Mumbai. The CBI is investigating the death case. Rhea Chakraborty was arrested in a drugs case related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.

Rhea was granted bail on October 7 by the Bombay High Court.  In his judgement, Justice Kotwal had said that providing money to buy drugs doesn’t mean Rhea Chakraborty was involved in illicit trafficking. He added that giving money to someone for consuming drug doesn’t mean they encouraged them to do it.
