The matter related to the dumping of municipal solid waste near a water body came up again before the National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Friday (January 5). The green court bench asked for a solution after the respondents still argued that there is no alternate site available. Earlier the respondents had argued that they had obtained permission from the local authorities.
Further, the bench also demanded a time-bound action plan from the respondents—Haryana government and Palwal Municipal Council. The bench reiterated that the responsibility for disposal of solid waste lies with the municipal council.
