The Maharashtra government has declared that Rs 50,000 each will be sanctioned to the Judges of the Bombay High Court annually for the purpose of buying spectacles.
The State of Maharashtra issued a government resolution, declaring the sanction of yearly allowance for the Judges which would also cover their spouses and dependents.
The sanction has been approved by the Government only for the specified purpose of buying spectacles by the Bombay High Court Judges.
The Department of Law and Justice of the State of Maharashtra has also stated that while utilising the funds allocated for this purpose, the orders passed by the government from time to time will have to be followed.The sanction will cover the Judges’ spouses and dependents as well.
