Video: Supreme Court reserves order on Uddhav Thackeray plea seeking dismissal of Shinde government

The Supreme Court reserved its verdict on the Uddhav Thackeray Shiv Sena faction’s plea seeking the dismissal of the Eknath Shinde government and the sacking of the Governor.

The Bombay High Court has set aside CM Eknath Shinde’s order, saying the Chief Minister does not have the power to review, or modify the decision of the minister in-charge.

During a hearing in the Supreme Court on the senior designation process, the Court discussed the demerits of the weightage given to experience. Those with 30 years of service should get additional marks, the Court said.

Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav has moved the Delhi High Court against the CBI’s summons in jobs-for-land scam.
